We are delighted to be able to publish a formal update on the work we have undertaken since November 2016 and our major consultation event.

All of the documents we have published today can be seen here. They provide a detailed overview of the work we have undertaken with the Community and Stakeholders and sets out our proposed policy recommendations. We have called them “working documents” because we recognise that with continued input and feedback the contents will continue to develop.

We have been delighted with the engagement from residents, community groups, stakeholders and landowners. The level of engagement demonstrates the enthusiasm that Seaford has to develop its Neighbourhood Development Plan for the years ahead.

We have also published a technical document called "Scoping Report for Sustainability Appraisal". This document is used to consult various public bodies and gives detailed statistics and analyses relevant to the development of the Seaford Neighbourhood plan. It also identifies various environmental and social factors which will be assessed within the Sustainability Appraisal to identify the most appropriate future use of sites in the town. When this initial analysis is complete, we will arrange a public consultation meeting, probably in July. We are currently working on a Design Guide and will be setting up a meeting, probably, in June to get the public's views. We continue to be happy to receive feedback on the papers we have just published – our contact details are here.
